Graduates of a new fitness qualification can now access the UK’s largest register of fitness professionals.
Pearson’s BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Fitness Services meets the membership entry requirements for the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
This REPs recognised qualification increases the employability of those pursuing a career in the health and fitness industry, which upon successful completion provides access to REPs’ level two fitness instructor categories, including Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor, Level 2 Circuits Instructor, Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor and Level 2 Aqua Instructor*.
Pearson Sport Sector Manager Becky Laffan said:
"It's really important to us that learners are offered the opportunities to be the best they can be, which is why we're thrilled to have worked with REPs to obtain this recognition. We're delighted to continue moving our partnership with REPs forward in 2019 and beyond."
Commercial Director for UK Coaching, which owns REPs, Andy Whiting said:
“It’s great for REPs to recognise a qualification from one of the UK’s largest awarding organisations, who is heavily invested in education and training. Graduates of Pearson’s BTEC will be able to join REPs with its numerous benefits, which will gain them the confidence of the general public who see our brand as a badge of quality assurance.
“We look forward to working with Pearson on any future qualifications they are developing with the fitness industry and its professionals in mind.”
Members of REPs receive benefits such as insurance; access to high quality continuing professional development; exclusive access to the Reebok-endorsed personal training app, GymCube, and are able to work internationally through ICREPs.
