The REPs is a public register, and confirmation of registration status for members will be given, although personal details are not disclosed.
A Professional Practice Committee (PPC) reports to the Governors. The PPC oversees the implementation of the Register's Code of Ethical Practice and settles any disputes or appeals with regard to the Register or Registration. Please see our section on the Code click here and PPC click here.
The REPs does not set standards for qualifications in the industry, nor does it write or develop the technical criteria that it uses. Skillsactive's qualifications and standards department manages the process of approval of qualifications and endorsement of training. Once training providers submit qualifications and/or training, a Technical Expert Group (TEG) makes approval and endorsement recommendation. Members of the TEG sign a confidentiality agreement and represent themselves as independent experts and not representatives of their business or company. They are selected because they have specialised exercise, fitness and clinical/medical knowledge. For details of approved qualifications click here. For details of endorsed training and CPD click here.
For information on the submission processes of qualifications and the endorsement of training and approvals contact Skillsactive on 020 7632 2000.
