Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch and REPs’ External Liaison Manager Rebecca Weissbort met with health professionals and representatives from leisure trusts during a meeting in Edinburgh late last month. At the meeting were Flora Jackson, Physical Activity Alliance Co-ordinator for NHS Scotland and members of Fife Leisure, North Lanarkshire, Glasgow Life and the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives.
The group discussed the Register and ways of improving the work it does to support these organisations, and others, in Scotland do to foster increased levels of activity and a more healthy lifestyle. Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch said: “REPs is a UK wide register and as such it is vitally important we work with member countries like Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to devise ways we can help them and their particular needs. “This meeting gave us a lot of food for thought and we’re looking forward to taking the points raised forward and working together for a healthier Scotland.”
