European Register of Exercise Professionals

The European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS) is an independent process for the regulation of all instructors, trainers and teachers working across Europe in the exercise and fitness industry. Through its quality assurance process EREPS recognises that exercise professionals are qualified to do their job giving consumers, employers and partners in medical professions the necessary level of confidence in their professionalism and a structure for increased mobility of workers.
Registration signifies an exercise professional has met prescribed minimum standards of good practice, including the adoption of a Code of Ethical Conduct and that they are committed to raising standards through a process of continuing professional development. EREPs is regulated by the EHFA Standards Council using an accepted European qualification framework which describes the knowledge, skills and competencies exercise professionals need to achieve for registration.
Joining REPs UK with European Qualifications
Instructors and trainers wishing to take advantage of the reciprocal arrangement between UK REPs and EREPs are able to join the UK Register once they have completed free online special populations up skilling assessments .
On application you will be given Provisional status subject to qualifications meeting European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA) standards and recognition on EREPs. You will then be able to access the free online learning and assessments for special populations and if successful you will be upgraded to FULL membership status on REPs.
These assessments will need to be achieved within the first 12 months.
For all other European qualifications they will need to contact an approved test centre to achieve a REPs recognised qualification.
For EU Higher Education graduates they will be required to complete our HE application for consideration for provisional Level 3 membership. Please follow instructions ‘joining with Higher Education Qualifications’.
